As of October 2026, Kolachi, Kababjees, Al Habib, Sajjad and Charcoal BBQ and Grill are trading there, most opening between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm and serving until midnight or later. Where is Do Darya?

Do Darya is a strip of open-air, sea-facing restaurants on Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue in DHA Phase 8, Karachi. The road was called Beach Avenue until DHA renamed it in 2016, and it is still widely called Sea View Road. The name Do Darya means “two seas”, because the sea surrounds the site on two sides.

Dawn described the strip in 2018 as about 1.5 km long. Do Darya sits on the same DHA Phase 8 seafront as Emaar Oceanfront, which a 2022 Zameen guide put two minutes’ drive away, and HMR Waterfront, which HMR’s sales team places on the same road where it heads towards Do Darya.

How to get to Do Darya

From Clifton or from outside DHA, take Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue (Sea View Road) east along the coast. Zameen’s 2022 guide recommends reaching it through Khayaban-e-Ittehad or Khayaban-e-Shamsheer, and gives the drive from Dolmen Mall Clifton as 15 minutes.

Search “Do Darya” in Google Maps or a ride-hailing app to get there by Careem or Uber. Zameen’s 2022 guide said every restaurant offered valet parking, and a 2026 guide lists no entry charge for the strip.

Sajjad describes chalets, a seaside deck and an oceanfront cabana, Kolachi and Charcoal advertise outdoor seating by the sea, and Kababjees posted about its sea view in October 2026.

What does dinner at Do Darya cost?

Kababjees’ official Karachi menu, which covers its Do Darya branch and was updated in July 2026, lists chicken karahi at PKR 2,350 for a half and PKR 3,350 for a full, mutton karahi at PKR 3,200 and PKR 5,200, and malai boti at PKR 1,550. Best time to visit Do Darya

Most Do Darya restaurants open between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm and serve until midnight or later. Arriving before sunset gives you a table facing the sea while there is still light on the water, and weeknights are quieter than weekends, when crowds build after 8 pm. Karachi’s cooler months, from November to February, are the most comfortable for sitting outdoors by the sea.

What to know before going to Do Darya

In August 2022, after an abandoned wooden eatery at Do Darya collapsed in heavy rain, the district administration sealed the parts of the five restaurants built over the sea until DHA engineers issued a no-objection certificate. No report since says whether those over-sea decks reopened, so ask the restaurant before booking a table over the water.

In February 2025 a fire destroyed Creek Inn, a wooden restaurant at Do Darya that had been closed for four to five years. Rescue 1122 brought the fire under control in about an hour and a half, according to Dawn.

In August 2025 police urged visitors to take precautions at beach areas after an incident at Do Darya. No sea-bathing ban issued in 2024, 2025 or 2026 named Do Darya, but if you plan to walk on the shore during the monsoon, check the current notice first.
